Well here we are again! Another summer. This time I'm not grounded.
Thank hayvens!
What brought me to this old blogspot was three things.
1. Downstairs, they're eating an absurd amount of dessert that my stomach was not able to handle
2. My AP Spanish teacher has assigned us to create a blog for summer homework. JOY
and 3. I was watching some of Lil Wayne's music videos and had to stop watching when the girls started going...wild.
But it made me think. Watching the music video for Drop the World by Lil Wayne and Eminem, I couldn't help but notice the harsh and almost saddening lyrics. And the scenery of the abandoned city streets and blood spillage. I guess it's all a part of their thug image, but when they almost boast about the horrors they've seen, you can't help but realize that they're humans too. They were once children. And below all of the sex, drugs, and music, they go to bed at night thinking and possibly worrying.
Maybe I'm being too Hallmark, but I can't help but be a bit fascinated by what the inner feelings are of these rap stars. The things they've seen and the lives they lead is not all that glorious. When the music fades (if you will), there's still a real life to live.
